Here is it. It has been thoroughly
tested by Nick and Myself and several of the NTSUG members
here is a KickStart script for a fedora core 2 snort install. this will do the OS the way I have it in the paper. if you have any problems e-mail me Put it on a floppy and call it ks.cfg. when you boot on the fedors core 2 CD #1 at the first screen type "linux ks=floppy://ks.cfg" without the quotes and it will do most of the load for you. (right click and do a save as on the link to download the file)
Snort, Apache, SSL, PHP, MySQL and
Acid Install on Fedora Core 1 – From RPM
I just finished this one on June 1st 2004. It is for
2.1.3 Please try to use this one, even with older versions of Redhat and
RHEL. It will adapt well with little to no change. It takes about 2.5
hours to install. If you see any errors please e-mail me.
OLD -
Do not use these unless you absolutely have to.
The new docs will work with RHEL WS3 and Older version of Redhat with little to
no change in them
Installing Snort 2.1.2, Apache 2.0.48
(with SSL), PHP 4.3.4,
MySQL 4.0.17 and Acid 0.9.6b23 on Fedora Core 1 From Source
This will
work for RedHat 9 also
Installing Snort 2.1.0, Apache 2.0.48, PHP 4.3.4, MySQL 4.0.17 and Acid 0.9.6b23 on RedHat ES WS3
Installing Snort 2.0.4, Apache 2.0.48, PHP 4.3.4, MySQL 4.0.16 and Acid 0.9.6b23 on RedHat 9
I have removed the RedHat 8.0 documentation. It has software that is seriously flawed and I have noticed in my logs that people have been downloading it. The one for RedHat 9 has been used with other version of RedHat with very little modification, if you do not have RedHat 9 you can download it from www.redhat.com
